Job Purpose
Sell our Software as a Service system, NIMBIS, and related services into the intermediated short term insurance market (Brokers, UMA’s, Administrators, Insurers) in South Africa.
Responsibilities
Sales Opportunities Creation
Identify potential customers by obtaining information, referrals, and recommendations from existing customers. Building sales pipelines.
Sell Customer Propositions
Identify the products or services that best meet the customer's stated needs, explain the selection to the customer, and invite the customer to make a purchase at the standard price/terms and conditions of sale. Facilitate the pre-sales, demo’s and Q&A sessions with prospective clients. Ensure that sales targets are achieved.
Customer Needs Clarification
Set clear objectives for each sales call; use standard materials to make a presentation to the customer; and ask relevant questions to evaluate the customer's level of interest and to identify and respond to areas requiring further information or explanation.
Customer Relationships Development
Develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage the potential customers in relevant sales campaigns to build new relationships. Act as first point of contact for customer queries during the sales cycle, referring complex issues to others and ensuring that the customer receives an appropriate response.
Operational Compliance
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organisation's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorisation from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
Customer Relationship Management
Schedule follow-up actions and enter relevant information into the customer relationship management system after each contact with a potential customer to create a sales call plan and to ensure that the organisation has quality data to enable effective customer sales implementation, retention and business development activities.
Performance Management
Prioritise own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
Personal Capability Building
Keep abreast with current changes in internal policies and procedures, external regulations which is facilitated by the online training system and tracked by a formal assessment.
Data Collection & Analysis
Collate and analyse target market data to identify potential clients, trends, opportunities and risks. Involves working independently. Monitor relevant information available after each contact with a potential customer to ensure that a healthy sales pipeline is maintained and sales targets are met.
Customer Service
Provide a quality service to customers during the sales cycle while identifying opportunities to secure new business. Responsibilities may include dealing with complex queries and investigating and resolving customer problems.
Education
Grade 12 (Essential); Relevant Degree/Diploma (Advantageous) (Required)
Experience
3 – 5 years solution sales experience (Essential); Solution sales experience in a SaaS environment (Advantageous); Experience within the Financial Services Industry (Advantageous)
