Overview:

The Business Compliance will responsible for advising Business and Corporate Banking (BCB) on compliance with regulatory requirements which relate to BCB.

Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with the Head of Compliance (BCB) to implement the Bank’s Compliance frameworks, review and update policies and procedures to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal standards and guidelines. The BCB Compliance team being the Division’s point of contact on all compliance matters in relation to BCB, in consultation with Group Compliance.

• Drive and facilitate a culture of compliance across BCB;

• Responsibility for completion of self-assessments/compliance independent review for/on BCB.

• Support the development and implementation of a plan for checking the compliance controls of BCB.

• Help ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting by BCB Compliance, where required.

• Ensure timely reporting and escalation of Compliance issues or incidences to management and Group Compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking/Economics/Law or equivalent.

• Knowledge of legislative aspects/regulatory requirements of banking and financial institutions and banking products are key requirements.

• Familiarity with BNM’s Foreign Exchange regulations / AMLCFT requirement would be advantageous.

• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
