At Downer, learning isn’t a support function, it’s a strategic driver of safety, performance and future growth. We’re looking for an exceptional Learning & Development Lead to shape enterprise‑wide capability across our Transport & Infrastructure business in New Zealand.
This is a senior, high‑impact role where learning, compliance and capability directly influence business performance, safety and long‑term competitiveness.
You’ll be accountable for setting the L&D strategy, ensuring learning compliance, and delivering scalable, fit‑for‑purpose capability programs across frontline, operational and leadership cohorts. This includes ownership of graduate, apprentice and cadet programs, learning governance, compliance accreditation, and workforce capability uplift aligned to operational and regulatory requirements.
