JOB PURPOSE:
One Performance team is the core of the company’s performance management and sets the pace of the organization in terms of resource allocation, prioritization and interventions needed in order to achieve Unilever’s short- and long-term objectives.
This role drives the critical in-year performance management across financial and non-financial metrics with significant interaction with senior stakeholders across teams in Business Groups and 1UL teams, Investor Relations, M&A, Group Controllers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enterprise Performance Framework & Governance, ensuring alignment from corporate strategy through to markets, business units, and functions.
• Strategy Execution & Value Delivery partnering closely with Strategy, Finance, and Business Leaders to turn strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.
• Identify execution gaps and performance risks early; drive corrective actions.
• Financial & Non-Financial Performance Integration
• Insights, Analytics & Decision Support: advanced analytics, dashboards, and digital tools to enable real-time performance tracking.
• Stakeholder Management & Influence aligning diverse stakeholders around “one version of performance truth.”
• External & Investor Context: Ensure internal performance narratives are coherent with external reporting and investor priorities
Key Relationships
• Corporate areas including: Investor Relations, Global controllers, Tax, Treasury, M&A, Supply Chain, CMI
• Business Groups, 1UL units, and Geographies
• Agile interactions across different areas and businesses
Expectations of the role
• Minimum of 10 years of financial management, including experience in controlling/reporting roles.
• Partnering senior stakeholders to define strategy and embed into financial framework, including source of growth, source & use of fund, and translate strategic priority into clear targets embedded into regular business reviews.
• Significant lateral and upward influence of key stakeholders to comply with complex agenda and tight deadlines.
• Proven financial track record across BGs and Functional areas.
• Ability to directly partner and challenge business partners by delivering concise messages / making the complex simple / getting to the right business insights.
• Excellent communication skills, including written English
• Strong work ethic, great attitude, self-starting & proactive mind-set, resilience in the face of pressure, good team player, ability to meet multiple stretching deadlines and attention to detail
• Hence, we expect a mature, and well-rounded finance leader, who have both strong strategic thinking and operational grip, to gear the organization effectively and efficiently.
• Accountancy qualification (such as CIMA, ACCA) is PLUS
