Job Description:
1. With the support from the Risk Management Department in Hong Kong, establish credit risk management framework on Futures and OTC business, including developing policies and procedures, system infrastructure, and ongoing review and enhancement.
2. As the second line of risk defense, perform independent review and challenge from risk management perspective, including:
Perform due diligence of new and existing clients (banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, corporates, etc.); Assess creditworthiness and assign internal credit ratings scores;
Prescribe credit terms & covenants for legal documentations such as ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA etc.
Recommend and set appropriate limits and initial margin terms;
Swift reaction to high impact market event, to prevent excessive loss, i.e. raise additional margin buffer, force liquidation alert;
Client credit portfolio stress testing to identify vulnerability;
Regulatory disclosure and reporting when required;
Oversee the collateral management process related to counterparty risk (margin calls, disputes, eligibility of collateral);
Manage limit excesses: investigate causes, escalate breaches, and work with Front Office to remediate.
On Enterprise Risk Management: Maintain the appropriate & effective Risk
3.Management Framework for local entity, promote the sound risk management culture.
4. Responsible for ad-hoc risk projects for the entity.
Qualification:
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline. Holder of FRM or CFA is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management. Strong analytical skills for risk modeling and financial analysis. Solid programming skills to handle quantitative data analysis independently.
Able to work independently and communicate with stakeholders such as business team, wider risk team of the Group and with other departments in the entity.
Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
Curiosity and humble to learn, especially in the exploration of using AI to achieve efficiency.
Proficient oral and writing skills in Mandarin and English.
