About this role:
The Accounts Receivable Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of AR analysts to ensure timely and accurate cash collection, credit risk management, and compliance with company policies. This role acts as a key link between AR operations, internal stakeholders, and management, driving performance, process efficiency, and team development.
Key responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & People Management
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Accounts Receivable analysts.
• Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback through 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily AR activities, including invoicing follow up, cash application, collections, and dispute management.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables in line with targets.
• Monitor and manage aging, overdue balances, and credit exposure.
• Support monthly and year end closing activities.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and controls.
• Act as the main AR for contact with Sales, Customer Service, Credit, Finance, and other internal teams.
• Resolve escalated customer and internal issues professionally and effectively.
• Balance business enablement with credit risk mitigation.
• Support audits and internal/external reviews.
Required Competencies & Qualifications:
• Team player with a high level of personal motivation and a customer-centric approach, ensuring positive relationships
• Strong evaluation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow defined strategies and manage multiple competing priorities to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
• General accounting knowledge
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Work, Outlook); prefer some experience with Power BI.
Required Experience Education:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 4–7+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, or Collections.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong understanding of AR processes, credit risk, and collection of strategies.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle is desired)
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting and dashboards.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken); additional languages a plus.
