EXPERIENCED SUPPORT WORKERS – OTAGO REGION
We are seeking up to 10 Support Workers
The positions offered are permanent placements within the above region.
As Community Care Trust Aotearoa operates a 24/7 service to our community, our support workers are required to work on a rotating roster, which may include nights (sleep-over or wake-over shifts) and weekend shifts, generally with two consecutive rostered days off per week.
Minimum Requirements:
A level 4 New Zealand Health & Wellbeing certificate (or equivalencies that have an IQA assessment from NZQA OR are accepted international equivalents) or
A minimum 3 year’s relevant work experience as a support worker Wage rates start at $26.94 to $29.10 per hour gross taxable, depending on your level of qualification.
Contracted Hours are from 32 to 40 hours per week.
Note: Guaranteed 32 hours exclusive of sleepovers.

ABOUT THE JOB:
You will be supporting people in their homes encouraging them to meet others, assisting them to achieve new goals, building new skills, and supporting them to have a better link to their community.
Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and people with a disability that have committed a criminal offence.

We operate a 7-day service and we require employees that are able to work evening, weekend shifts.

To work for us you must:
Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost)
Hold a FULL current NZ Driver License (or have the ability to obtain one)
Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
