This person will be responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Manager with Front of the House personnel and operation of the dining room to ensure high quality and consistent dining experience. Maintaining all aspects of excellent restaurant customer service from making reservations to exiting the restaurant. This position will focus on customer service training and the importance of customer service values to subordinate personnel. This position needs to be a self-motivated Lead Dining Attendant with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important to have excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training personnel; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining personnel; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Will be responsible in the direction, training, coaching, mentoring and leadership for Front of House personnel including safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
Assign duties and shifts to dining attendants and observe performance to ensure adherence to policies and established operating procedures.
Responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Manager with all front-of-house personnel and operation of the dining room to ensure high quality, consistent dining experience for customers.
Provides service to guests as needed, setting an example of exceptional service levels
Assessment of Dining Attendant training needs
Assists Food and Beverage Manager in maintaining appropriate staffing levels
Reports on any problems or issues to Food and Beverage Manager.
Attend and/or facilitate Front of House meetings.
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies, processing guest billing issues and scheduling.
Assist in setting up and cleaning the restaurant during opening and closing shifts.
Addresses and resolves customer concerns and complaints.
Surveys guests for level of satisfaction with their dining experience
Communicate effectively with the Food and Beverage Manager and staff.
QualificationsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years of experience in a full-service restaurant or an associate’s degree from two-year College or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior supervision of three (3) or more employees is preferred.
Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
