11The Team:
Our Primary Markets Solutions sales team is a high-growth, revenue-driven unit within the S&P Global Market Intelligence division, dedicated to expanding our commercial footprint across the APAC region. This client-facing team focuses on maximizing cross-selling opportunities and generating new business by providing solutions that address the capital formation process, fostering a collaborative and impactful sales environment.
Responsibilities and Impact:
• Drive sales of S&P’s Sales & Trading and Capital Markets products and services to achieve and exceed annual new business revenue quotas.
• Proactively manage the end-to-end sales process and pipeline, from lead generation and prospecting to opportunity management and closure within your assigned territory.
• Develop and manage a book of business, focusing on new client acquisition and expanding existing relationships through strategic networking and client engagement.
• Demonstrate S&P Global's product offerings and their value proposition, consulting with prospects and clients to construct tailored solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with Account Management and Product Marketing teams to ensure a coordinated and client-centric approach.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience selling data and/or software solutions within financial services, specifically to business areas such as Fixed Income/Equity Capital Markets and Syndicate, or Research Sales and Trading.
• Proven history of consistently exceeding sales quotas and a strong drive to prospect for new accounts.
• Strong understanding of the sales process, pipeline management, and superior negotiating skills.
• We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience selling desktop solutions or data to the buy-side/sell-side; formal negotiating training is a plus.
• Strong CRM skills, preferably Salesforce.
• Ability to integrate and communicate complex product and market information clearly and effectively within your specialization to diverse audiences.
• Proactively seeks out new opportunities for innovation in sales strategies and client engagement, leveraging relevant market data.
