About the role
As an SKG RN you will be responsible for providing high quality pre, intra and post procedure nursing care and education to patients attending our radiology department. In this role you will be involved in a range of duties such as assisting the Radiologist in interventional procedures including PICC line insertions, deep organ biopsies, infusaport and nephrostomy tube insertion thereby utilising all of your ward nursing skills that apply in the radiology setting.
Whilst a background in medical imaging nursing will be highly regarded, we will provide training in the provision of care in a radiology department to the successful candidate.
Role requirements
Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
This is a full time position of 75 hours per fortnight.
Shifts of 7.5hrs are worked within the hours of 7.00am and 5.30pm hence flexibility with start and finish times is key. Once trained, participation in the weekend roster and on-call shifts is a requirement of this position.
The role is a Reliever (not to be confused with a casual). It is based at our SJOG Subiaco site however provides leave relief to some of our other sites located at the Hollywood Hospital, SJOG Mt Lawley & occasionally SJOG Murdoch, along with our Duncraig community site. When not required to provide relief, hours are worked at Subiaco.
Given the expectation for you to work across different locations, a reliable vehicle and current driver’s license is preferred and you will be paid for travel kilometres.
