SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline’s IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modeling, business intelligence, and business continuity. Award-winning SriLankan IT team is seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
The individual is responsible for Ensure to drive the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable software that supports critical airline operations and business objectives. Focuses on implementing structured testing strategies, identifying and resolving defects early, and improving overall system performance and usability. Promotes adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality frameworks while collaborating with development, IT Security, and Quality teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and update test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications for upcoming releases.
Review and maintain testing documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and quality metrics, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Identify, document, and prioritize defects or issues in the software, using bug tracking tools to report findings to the development team.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and feedback with the team. Document the specifications and design for code development and testing with the Business Analyst (BA) and Quality Assurance (QA) support.
Perform regression testing to verify that recent code changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.. Analyze testing results, compile quality reports, and present findings to stakeholders to provide insights into the software's quality and readiness for release.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing methodologies and practices, promoting a culture of continuous quality enhancement. Provide training and support to team members on quality assurance practices, tools, and methodologies to build a stronger quality-focused team.
Facilitate and support user acceptance testing by coordinating with end-users to validate the software meets business requirements before deployment. Ensure that testing practices align with industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance throughout the software development process.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree * in relevant field from a recognized University with a minimum of 01 year post qualifying Relevant Experience (* Engineering, Computer Science, General Science with Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics etc.)
OR
Full professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 07 with 03 years post qualifying experience in a relevant discipline.
Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
The upper age limit should be 35 years as of 04th May 2026, which is the closing date.
Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
