Position Description The Security Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing all security operations at the AdventHealth Training Center (AHTC) and game day security operations at Raymond James Stadium. This role serves as the primary security person for assigned venues and events, driving readiness, risk mitigation, incident response, and operational continuity through close coordination with the Chief Security Officer, internal partners, stadium stakeholders, and contracted security providers. The role will lead through influence by setting operational expectations, conducting briefings, managing vendor performance deliverables, and coordinating multi-agency/public safety partners to ensure a safe and secure environment for players, staff, fans, VIPs, and visiting teams.
Essential Functions AHTC Security Management (Primary Venue Lead) • Serve as the Security Venue Lead for AHTC, managing day-to-day security operations, post orders execution, access control practices, and incident response readiness. • Manage and continuously improve facility security protocols, including: perimeter security, credential/access management, visitor control, deliveries, contractor screening, key/lock/door schedules, and secure area controls. • Coordinate security coverage for team practices, player movement, staff operations, media events, sponsor activations, and special events hosted at AHTC. • Conduct regular security assessments (physical security, procedural, and behavioral threat considerations) and implement corrective action plans. • Maintain venue-specific Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and incident response playbooks (e.g., medical emergencies, severe weather, suspicious packages, disorderly persons, intrusion/trespass, fire alarms, bomb threats). • Partner with Football Operations, Facilities, HR, Legal, and Communications to support workplace violence prevention, protective security needs, and sensitive investigations as directed. Stadium Event & Game Day Security Operations • Plan and execute security operations for all home and away games and assigned stadium events (concerts, special events, non-NFL programming), ensuring alignment with stadium policies and league best practices. • Support development and execution of security staffing plans, deployment maps, magnetometer/entry screening operations, command post protocols, and response routing. • Coordinate pre-event walk-throughs, operational readiness checks, and post-event debriefs to drive continuous improvement. • Support secure movements for VIPs, executives, alumni, talent/performers, and visiting team coordination as assigned. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination • Act as primary point of contact for contract security provider(s) at assigned venues—ensuring post orders, training requirements, and performance standards are met. • Monitor vendor compliance (staffing levels, punctuality, uniform standards, licensing, incident documentation, training completion) and escalate deficiencies through contract management channels. • Coordinate with public safety and external partners, including local law enforcement, fire rescue, EMS, and emergency management, to align roles, communications, and response protocols. • Participate in tabletop exercises, drills, and multi-agency planning meetings; document lessons learned and track corrective actions. Incident Management, Reporting & Intelligence/Threat Coordination • Serve as a security duty leader during assigned operational periods; utilize incident command principles and coordinate with the Command Post when activated. • Ensure timely, accurate incident documentation, after-action reporting, and evidence preservation practices (as applicable) in coordination with internal stakeholders. • Support threat intake, triage, and coordination activities (e.g., suspicious activity reporting, disruptive individuals, social media threats, prohibited access concerns) consistent with organizational protocols. • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism, particularly involving players, coaches, executives, and sensitive operational information. Training, Preparedness & Continuous Improvement • Support development and delivery of security training content for contract security and internal staff (venue protocols, de-escalation, emergency procedures, radio discipline, access control, customer service, prohibited items). • Conduct readiness checks for security technology and critical systems (CCTV coordination, access control health checks, alarm response routing, radio interoperability), partnering with IT/Facilities/vendors. • Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis of incidents, gate data, staffing observations, and post-event reviews; recommend operational enhancements. Key Performance Outcomes (What Success Looks Like) • AHTC and stadium operations demonstrate a consistent, professional security presence with reliable access control and predictable procedures. • Incidents are managed quickly, safely, and documented thoroughly with clear communication and escalation. • Vendor teams meet staffing, training, and performance expectations; deficiencies are identified early and corrected. • Stakeholders view Security as a trusted operational partner. • Emergency readiness is maintained through up-to-date plans, drills, and after-action improvement tracking.

Experience & Education • 7+ years of progressive experience in law enforcement, security operations, event security, or physical security (stadium/arena, campus, large venue, corporate, or public safety environment). • Demonstrated experience planning and executing large-scale event security operations with multiple stakeholders and vendors. • Strong working knowledge of access control, biometrics, CCTV operations coordination, gunshot detection technology, incident reporting, and emergency response planning. • Proven ability to lead without authority—influencing vendors and cross-functional partners in high-tempo environments. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to deliver briefings and produce clear incident and after-action reports. • Preferred Qualifications • Experience in private sector security risk management, major events, or high-profile venue operations. • Familiarity with incident command concepts and multi-agency coordination. • Prior experience developing post orders, SOP’s, and conducting drills/tabletop exercises. • Knowledge of executive/VIP protective operations support and credentialing/access management.
