About Corndel:
Corndel is a unique, multi award-winning UK management and technology training provider, partnering with some of the UK’s largest and most exciting businesses to drive organisational performance through transformational learning.
As one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK, we’ve inspired and developed over 30,000 professionals. Our learners rate us 9/10 - and 92% of our team recommends working here. Our open, entrepreneurial culture means you’ll be joining a place where careers, growth, and purpose come together.
The team:
Our Commercial Training team delivers high-impact learning programmes directly with businesses, outside of apprenticeship-funded provision. This is a rare opportunity for someone who combines genuine AI & Data expertise, skilled facilitation, and sharp commercial instinct - and who finds that breadth energising rather than exhausting.
The opportunity:
This is an unusual role in that it demands genuine capability across three areas simultaneously. Technical credibility - sufficient to earn the confidence of a CDO or AI Lead. Commercial acumen — enough to contribute meaningfully to a sales conversation and help bring deals over the line. And skilled, confident facilitation - the kind that makes complex subjects land for any audience. Alongside all of this, you will own client relationships end-to-end, with full accountability for account growth and programme delivery.
This role will not suit someone who is technically strong but finds commercial engagement draining, nor someone who is an excellent facilitator but uncomfortable in sales conversations. If you are equally drawn to all three dimensions, and take as much pride in your follow-through as in your performance in the room, we would love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Client Ownership & Growth
Be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial clients — owning the relationship from onboarding through to renewal, and making sure every commitment is followed through.
Proactively identify and act on opportunities to grow accounts — renewals, extensions, and cross-sales — staying close enough to each client to spot the opportunity before it comes to you.
Join sales conversations as a credible technical voice — helping prospective clients understand what good AI & Data learning looks like, and giving our Sales team the subject matter confidence to close.
Understand each client’s strategic goals, technical maturity, and stakeholder landscape — and use that knowledge to deepen the relationship and shape what comes next.
Programme Delivery & Oversight
Deliver AI & Data training yourself - at least a quarter of your time, often more. You’ll facilitate workshops across a wide range of audiences, from non-technical business teams to experienced data professionals, CDOs, and AI Leads. Your credibility in the room matters as much as your subject knowledge.
Own programme execution end-to-end - from contract and SOW through to completion. That means coordinating associate facilitators, managing logistics, staying ahead of risks, and making sure nothing slips.
Ensure all AI & Data content - whether delivered by you or an associate — is technically credible, current, and grounded in real-world business application rather than theory alone.
Actively manage and quality-assure associate facilitators on programmes you’re not delivering yourself - setting the standard, reviewing delivery, and making sure every client interaction reflects what Corndel stands for.
What We’re Looking For
AI & Data Expertise
Deep, practical knowledge of AI and data - enough to hold your own in a technical conversation with a data scientist or CDO, and enough to make it genuinely accessible to a business audience who has never touched a dataset.
Confidence operating across a wide stakeholder range - from L&D and HR leaders through to AI Leads, CDOs, and technical specialists. You’re credible in rooms that most trainers would find daunting.
A genuine interest in the evolving AI & data landscape - you keep up because you’re curious, not just because the job requires it.
Client Relationship Management
Proven track record managing high-value client relationships - ideally in a technical, commercial training, or professional services context - where you were accountable for both satisfaction and growth.
A proven ability to follow through, not just to build rapport. Clients trust you because you honour your commitments and surface problems early rather than allowing them to escalate.
Facilitation & Programme Management
Proven facilitation skills - not just subject knowledge, but real craft in the room. You know how to read an audience, adapt on the fly, and make learning stick. Relevant qualifications and multi-year experience across formats (workshops, virtual, blended) are expected.
Strong programme management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and workstreams simultaneously without losing grip on the detail. Attention to detail is second nature, not an afterthought.
Experience with digital or blended learning formats - e-learning, virtual workshops, learning pathways — is a plus.
Commercial Acumen
Genuinely comfortable in commercial conversations - someone who understands how deals progress, can identify what a client needs, and knows how to position the right solution at the right moment.
A background that includes account growth, B2B relationship management, or commercial training - you’ve been responsible for retaining and expanding client revenue, not just delivering a service.
Experience tracking and using client data - satisfaction metrics, programme outcomes, engagement signals — to inform decisions and strengthen relationships.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Ability to move fluidly between internal teams - Sales, Product, Operations, SMEs — keeping everyone aligned and making sure client needs are never lost in translation.
Strong verbal and written communication - you present with authority, write clearly, and adapt your style depending on whether you’re in a sales meeting, a boardroom, or a training room.
A proactive, solutions-first mindset - you don’t wait to be asked, you spot what needs doing and get on with it.
About You
You bring genuine capability across all three dimensions of this role and enjoy the full breadth of it — the technical depth, the client relationships, the commercial conversations, and the discipline of making sure everything runs properly. You take as much pride in your follow-through as in your performance in the room.
Client-Focused & Commercially Savvy - You find genuine satisfaction in both the client relationship and the commercial dimension of the work. Growing accounts and supporting new business conversations feels like a natural part of the role, not an obligation.
Organised & Detail-Oriented - You do what you say you’ll do — every time. Not because someone is checking, but because leaving things half-done or letting clients feel forgotten is genuinely not in your nature.
Clear Communicator & Confident Influencer - You can hold a room of data scientists and a room of nervous business leaders with equal confidence. You facilitate with real skill, not just knowledge.
Proactive Problem-Solver - You stay ahead of your programmes, not firefighting. If something is going off track, you’re the first to know and the first to act.
Adaptable & Resilient - You actively enjoy the variety this role brings. Moving between technical delivery, sales conversations, and client account management in the same week is something you find energising rather than draining.
Collaborative Team Player - You contribute effectively as part of a small, ambitious team, taking initiative without needing direction, whilst remaining collaborative and supportive of colleagues.
This role suits someone who finds genuine satisfaction in all three dimensions - the technical, the relational, and the commercial — and who understands that the real value they bring is holding all three together with consistency and care — helping Corndel's clients build genuine capability in AI and data, and helping Corndel grow.
