We are looking for a proactive and creative Assistant Marketing Manager to support the delivery of high-impact marketing and communications that drive growth, strengthen our reputation, and support the long-term success of our transport network.
This is a varied and influential role at the heart of the organisation. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver campaigns and communications that encourage customers to travel, keep employees informed and engaged, and ensure our brand remains trusted and recognisable across the communities we serve.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000pa depending on experience
Working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, but can include evenings and weekends if required.

Key Responsibilities
·Implement an annual marketing and communications plan aligned to commercial, operational, and budgetary objectives.
· Support patronage growth initiatives across bus and tram services, including service changes, fare revisions, promotions, and new infrastructure.
· Ensure internal and external communications are planned together to deliver consistent messaging.
· Work closely with Operations, HR, and senior leadership to support effective two-way communication with frontline teams.
· Alongside the Marketing Manager, plan, deliver, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across bus and tram, including fare offers, family and group ticketing, service launches, and seasonal promotions.
· Alongside the Marketing Manager, act as brand guardian for the organisation, ensuring consistency of tone, visual identity, and messaging across all customer-facing and staff-facing channels.
· Be fluent in graphic design using professional design software to produce campaign materials for print and digital formats.
· Management of digital channels including website content, social media, email campaigns, and mobile app communications.
· Ensure communications are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with relevant standards.
· Support the Marketing Manager with external stakeholder engagement, such as the local authority, tourism bodies, education providers, and community organisations.
· Support partnership and community initiatives that promote public transport use.
· Any reasonable requests from management must be adhered to as part of the roles and responsibilities, provided they fall within the scope of duties and align with business objectives.

English or equivalent key skills qualifications (Essential)
Marketing degree or relevant experience (Essential)
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (Desirable)
