In order to be considered for the Associate or Full Professor of Practice, the individual must have more than 10 years of experience in industry or government in senior positions with demonstrated understanding of and impact on practice and has the interest and potential to teach courses as a full-time activity.
The candidates must preferably hold a Ph.D., but it is not an essential criterion. A lack of Ph.D. must be offset by demonstrated domain knowledge, obtained from the ‘field’.
The candidates shall be evaluated for their exceptional contributions either because of their unique expertise (that is not available internally) or because of their potential contribution to the institute through teaching quality and exceptional service.
