Program Overview
Chevron ENGINE is pleased to announce its annual Apprenticeship Program for undergraduate students. The program is designed to bridge academic learning with hands-on industry exposure, enabling students to build practical skills, gain professional experience, and develop future ready capabilities.

Job Description
Petroleum Engineer – Apprentice Trainee will be deployed to one primary subsurface Petroleum Engineering workstream at Chevron ENGINE, with guided exposure to adjacent workstreams during the apprenticeship tenure.
Primary Workstream Options include:
Surveillance, Analysis & Optimization (SA&O)
Production surveillance support
Preparation of OFM/KAPPA application data
Basic production analytics and reporting
Fluid Properties
Understanding PVT properties and reports
Basic analysis and interpretation of PVT data
Supporting fluid property reporting
Well Performance Optimization (WPO)
Well performance tracking
Stimulation lookback analytics
Decline analysis support
Production System Optimization (PSO) / Digital Oilfield
Integrated Production Modeling (IPM) data support
Model calibration assistance
Exposure to digital oilfield workflows
Key Responsibilities
Support Petroleum (Production / Reservoir) engineering workflows through data preparation, quality checks, and basic analytical activities under supervision
Assist with well and production system surveillance, including monitoring, reporting, and dashboard maintenance
Gain exposure to digital subsurface tools, applications, and workflows used across the Chevron ENGINE Petroleum Engineering function
Learn and apply Chevron’s Operational Excellence (OE), documentation, and peer-review standards while contributing to real project deliverables (subject to project duration and capacity)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum CGPA of 7
Preference will be given to students currently in their second year and progressing into the third year of study.
Applicants should demonstrate an interest in technology, innovation, and engineering problem solving through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities
