Senior Spanish Copywriter, 12months Maternity Contract, Madrid

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Copywriter to join the Spanish Copywriting team on a 12month maternity contract based in our Madrid Office. You will be reporting into the EU Copywriting Manager, for Europe, working closely with the wider EU business, as well as local marketing and ecommerce teams. 
 

The purpose of this role is to produce engaging written content across multiple e-commerce channels in line with UNIQLO brand tone of voice. Working closely with the Junior Spanish Copywriter, content produced will be used by teams across the business in a variety of key customer touchpoints, including product names and descriptions, product category pages and content rich landing pages in support of multi-channel campaigns. 

What you will be responsible for: 

• Preparing copy for regular site and content updates, including changes to the UNIQLO homepage, category pages and product pages 

• Writing engaging subject lines and e-mail content for multiple weekly marketing newsletters 

• Preparing and revising product names and descriptions in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice expectations 

• Supporting designers and site operations teams by responding to recurring and ad-hoc copy requests 

• Reviewing, editing and signing off copy produced by junior copywriters to ensure accuracy, consistency, tone of voice and adherence to brand guidelines 

• Transcreating from briefs in English to provide content that is carefully crafted for the UNIQLO Spanish customer 

• Developing strong product, campaign and business awareness 

• Proactively engaging with stakeholders across departments and following up on deliverables from others without hesitation 

• Using performance feedback, stakeholder input and available data to refine and improve copy over time 

• Supporting ongoing development of junior copywriter 
   

Skills, Experience and Attributes:  

• Degree educated  

• 4+ years’ demonstrable experience content writing in an e-commerce context 

• Experience in retail or fashion is a plus 

• Exceptional spelling and grammar 

• Good understanding of SEO 

• Bilingual in Spanish (native level) and English 

• Clear experience working in a fast-paced environment  

• Ability to manage priorities and workloads across regular BAU and ad-hoc requests to meet deadlines 

• Self-driven and organised 

• Confident engaging with teams inside and outside of e-commerce  

• Ability to work in a multicultural setting
