Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our Operations Team in the position of General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the transformation of APL Logistics Turkey as a key part of our EMEA strategy
Optimising and leading the growth of our Turkey country operations with a focus on our consolidation activities
Establishing our Regional Export Control Tower operations and developing best in class customer solutions to support our regional export strategy
Responsibility of P&L for the financial performance of the country and to drive margin improvement across all products
Owning key operational metrics: Delivery Time, Service Level Agreements, Continuous Proactivity, and response to the customers
Managing the continuous customer communication, increasing Customer Service Performance
Implementing strategic projects within Turkey and aligning on a regional level
Working closely with other stakeholders in the region and strengthening relationships
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in a Logistics related field preferred or equivalent
Strong background and proven experience in freight forwarding, procurement, order management within the logistics industry
At least 8 years’ experience within a leadership position
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills through prior experience ideally on a regional level
Proven track-record of meeting and improving relevant KPIs
Excellent customer-service orientation
Fluency in both Turkish and English are essential
