Overview
West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the second largest fire and rescue service in England, serving an area of 902km square and a population of more than 2.9 million people.
Our vision is ‘Making the West Midlands safer, stronger and healthier’.
This vision and the strategic goals outlined in ‘Our Strategy’ are what drives the people, professionalism and pride with which we serve our communities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Prevention team as a Prevention Practitioner. Working under the direction of the Prevention Community Outreach Team Leader, the postholder will help plan, coordinate, and deliver prevention education in line with the Prevention Strategy, Policy, and Community Risk Management Plan.
Collaborating with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, the role focuses on reaching those most at risk and vulnerable to fires and other emergencies, through engaging educational activities across WMFS sites and external educational settings. The practitioner will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of these programmes, ensuring effective, inclusive, and impactful learning experiences for all participants.
