Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Working closely with the ACC Victoria Head of Senior School and the Head of ACC Victoria Online, plan and implement a range of processes and programs for students across ACC Victoria Online and other relevant ACC Victoria schools to participate in VET courses;
- Establish and build effective partnerships with external RTO providers including but not limited to establishing relationships with local TAFEs, and the Local Learning and Employment Network (LLEN);
- Further develop and oversee the student workplace learning program;
- Develop, in consultation with key stakeholders, a Careers program for ACC Victoria Online students, and as needed, provide advice on Careers programs to other schools within ACC Victoria;
- Further develop a Careers counselling and pathways program in consultation with ACC Victoria Head of Senior School and the Head of ACC Victoria Online;
- Competent in the use of ICT learning platforms, in particular, Canvas;
- Have the content knowledge and experience to coordinate an engaging VET experience for students, and to establish a thriving Careers program
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through mentoring from the ACCV Head of Senior School and participating in professional learning;
- Provide a child-safe environment in accordance with the child-safe standards;
- Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
- Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
- Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
- Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
- Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
- Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;
- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
- Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
About the role
Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced VET Coordinators and Careers Counsellors. This full time role is due to start as soon as is practicable.
* Please note that online teachers are required to work from our ACC Casey site currently in Cranbourne South.
The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with CEM policy.

Qualifications
- Evidence of the right to work in Australia
- Proof of identity
- Recognised qualification relevant to VET and/or Careers Counseling
- Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable)
- Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) (if coming from a teacher background)
- Statements of service from previous child-connected roles
- References from previous child-connected roles.
