Position Summary
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to support a fast-paced, multi-entity business across brewing, manufacturing, distribution, and restaurant operations. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financials, leading the monthly close, and supporting reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Leads key aspects of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Maintains accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements
Manages cash reporting, bank reconciliations, debt schedules, and lease accounting
Supports inventory and cost accounting, including COGS analysis and operational variance insights
Prepares and assists with regulatory filings (e.g., sales tax, TTB, CRV) and annual reporting
Supports internal and external audits and ensure strong internal controls
Identifies and implements process improvements and support ERP optimization
Partners cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to provide financial insights
Assists with ad hoc analysis and support AP/AR functions as needed
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA preferred or in progress)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains preferred, but not required)
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Office-based role with 5 days/week onsite at our Main Brewery in Pacific Beach. After-hours or weekend support may be needed for inventory counts or deadlines.
