Zonta House Refuge Association (Zonta House) is a specialist provider of family and domestic violence (FDV) services. Our purpose, values, and services have been informed through 40 years of experience, the needs of victim-survivors of FDV in our community, and research in leading practice.
Zonta House provides holistic services to support individuals, children and families and facilitates education to contribute to social and systems change to prevent and stop FDV. Victim-survivors of FDV are able to access responsive and person-centred support based on their needs to build a future free from abuse and thrive.
About the role
We are seeking a Parenting Counsellor to support women in custody and post‑release to strengthen their parenting skills, rebuild family relationships, and transition safely back into their communities.
You will provide trauma‑informed, culturally responsive parenting support to women at Bandyup and Boronia Prisons and in the community. This role focuses on helping mothers develop confidence in their parenting, understand child development, and maintain healthy connections with their children and families.
This is a part-time position 22.5 hours a week on a fixed-term contract until June 2027. This role will be based in Gosnells, with travel required across the Perth Metropolitan area.
