OneSchool Global is seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) to join our team at our Wellington Campus, Primary team years 3-6. With a preference for candidates who have experience working with students requiring high needs learning or behavioral support we are looking for individual with who shows a strong sense of empathy and a solutions focused mentality. About the Role: • Work with both individual and small groups of students throughout the day. • Support students with their independent learning across a range of subjects. • Assist in keeping students engaged, motivated, and on track with their learning goals. • Collaborate with teachers to ensure the best support strategies are in place. About You: • A caring and patient approach with a passion for helping students succeed. • Brings a practical, common-sense approach to problem solving. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Empathetic and patient approach to their support. • Ability to work independently while following structured learning plans. • Previous experience working with students with ADHD and students who have behaviour and learning challenges. Role Details: Hours: 25 hours per week , starting at 8:30 am preferably 5 hours per day M-F but open to negotiation for the right candidate. Weeks: This role is a 40 weeks per annum position. School holidays off. Start Date: ASAP Fixed Term Contract until 11th December 2026, with possibility to be renewed for the following year. Location: OneSchool Global NZ, Wellington Campus.
