Residuals Truck Driver - Day Shift

Day Shift (11am - 7pm)

· Load out ship/dry fines trailers within weight spec

· Keep flow of wood chips flowing through system clearing system of any jam ups

· Work with contract trucking to ensure safe and accurate loading needs are met

· Cross train and help in all areas deemed needed by residuals manager

· Transport product to customer locations as needed via tractor and trailer

· TPMs are a part of every position in the mill. This may include mandatory overtime for completion of TPM tasks.

· Notifies Team Leads or Process Leads if standard work cannot be followed.

· Additional duties assigned.

SAFETY:

· Position is watchful of constant traffic in the log yard. There are log trucks, departing delivery trucks, and other employees. A piece of equipment this size could crush a vehicle and cause fatal injury.

· Position must use care with airs hoses while cleaning out the radiator to make sure that the pressure does not injure the eye.

· Position must use flammable motor oils and diesel fuel.

· Position must climb and into equipment for maintenance purposes making sure equipment is turned off and locked out.

· A hard hat and safety vest must be worn while out on the log yard. NIOSH-approved steel-toed boots are required, as well as eye protection while blowing off the radiator.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and the potential of having to move 300 lbs. logs.

QUALITY:

· Attention to the quality of bark and ground product to not have any metal or trash other than wood in it.

· Can cause problems with the boiler or outside customers of this product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or GED.

· CDL required

· Loader License or Loader Training.

· Ability to operate different equipment and machinery

· Ability to plan and perform multi-sequence operations.

· Long periods of sitting in a loader and withstand the jarring of heavy equipment. They will work regularly with lightweight materials.

· Position is required to have constant attention to activities of the job as well as the people and activities around the operator.

Successful candidates must be able to work in various jobs which can include rotating to different job duties. These job duties could include various machine operators, handling material, grading material, quality checks, clean up, and other similar manufacturing activities. This position requires you to follow written and verbal job instructions. Being able to provide feedback and apply critical thinking are other keys to this position. Employees must be able to use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast paced forklift traffic, machine noise, and a work environment that will vary depending on the time of the year.
