We are looking for a goal and solution-oriented individual as a Specialist Opera PMS in the Information and Technology (IT) Department. An Opera PMS Specialist is responsible for the implementation, operation, and continuous development of the OPERA PMS system. The role aims to ensure efficient use of the system, support daily operations, and enhance the experience of both employees and guests.
Job description:
- Oversee the daily operation and performance of the Opera PMS system
- System configuration, maintenance, and updates
- Training and support for users
- Analysis and improvement of workflows related to the system
- Integration with other systems
- Data processing and reporting
- Troubleshooting and coordination with service providers
- Participation in the implementation of new solutions and digital improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Relevant education for the role
- Experience working with Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems
- Good understanding of hotel operations or the hospitality industry
- Strong technical skills and system understanding
- Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills and a strong service mindset
- Ability to work independently with a solution-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Icelandic and English
