This is a fixed term role to cover maternity leave
Ready to step into a role where you can truly make a difference behind the scenes of patient care? We’re looking for an energetic, organised PCA Coordinator to help power our clinical teams and keep our services running smoothly. This role can be based at either our Kingsland, Symonds Street, or Pakuranga clinics!
About the Role
As a PCA Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, connecting people, processes, and patient care. You’ll coordinate the day-to-day activity of our Primary Care Assistants (PCAs), helping to improve patient flow and support key health initiatives like immunisations, cervical screening, and cardiovascular risk assessments (CVRA).
While this isn’t a clinical role, your impact will be felt everywhere, freeing up our nurses to focus on patients while you ensure everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Coordinating PCA workloads and setting daily priorities
Supporting delivery of health target programmes and patient recalls
Managing core admin functions (inbox, tasks, GP2GP transfers)
Monitoring performance and spotting opportunities to improve outcomes
Creating consistency across processes and ways of working
Acting as a key link between PCAs, nurses, doctors, and operations teams
About You
You’re a natural organiser who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You love bringing structure to busy days, supporting others to do their best work, and finding smarter ways to get things done.
You’ll also bring:
Confidence communicating with a wide range of people
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities
A genuine passion for improving patient experiences and outcomes
NZQA Level 3 qualification (minimum)
Experience in healthcare or coordination roles (advantageous)
If you’re someone who loves making things happen, keeping teams on track, and contributing to better health outcomes - this could be the perfect next step for you.
