The City of New Westminster is looking for a Tennis and Pickleball Instructor to teach a variety of novice and intermediate tennis and pickleball lessons for preschool-aged children, school-aged children, youth and adults. Applicants must also have CPR and First Aid training. This seasonal auxiliary position commences in June through July at Queen’s and Ryall Park Sport Courts. Schedule assignments are weather permitting.
This position will be required to:
Provide fun and safe tennis lessons to all participants.
Attend staff orientations and training sessions.
Complete relevant reports, forms, and requests.
Contact students about cancellations during inclement weather.
Work collectively with volunteers.
Work on weekdays, daytime and evening.
Obtain valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
Possess a valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
Level 1 Coaching Certificate and/or experience teaching all age groups.
Have strong organizational and lesson planning skills.
Work under minimal supervision.
Ability to successfully pass and maintain a clear Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Check.
