Position Statement
The Accountability Coordinator provides strategic oversight and leadership to ensure that all student documentation and educational reporting meet audit, state, and school requirements. This position manages and supports a team of compliance staff who assist teachers and support personnel in maintaining accurate and timely records. The Accountability Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the Compliance Team, the Director, and the Operations and Accountability Department—driving consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in compliance processes. This role is responsible for monitoring compliance systems, reviewing data and documentation, and providing coaching, guidance, and training to staff to uphold organizational standards. In partnership with leadership, the Accountability Coordinator contributes to the development of compliance policies, supports teacher evaluations related to documentation, and coordinates corrective actions when necessary. This position ensures that compliance operations run efficiently, staff are supported and developed, and the school remains audit-ready at all times.

RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a department, large work unit, and/or across several small work units; monitoring budget expenditures. Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organization’s services.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required
Preferred Experience: Experience in a K-12 independent study model preferred.
Education: Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
