Senior System Engineer (Thermal and airflow)

Your role

This is a senior system engineering role with direct ownership of thermal and airflow behavior in high‑power EV chargers.

You ensure that the EV charger functions as a robust, integrated system, operating between system architecture and detailed design. The system architecture is defined elsewhere; you ensure it works in reality.

This role combines system integration responsibility with deep expertise in thermal management and airflow design.

Key Responsibilities

System engineering

• Own system‑level behavior during development and product lifecycle
• Translate requirements into integrated technical solutions
• Ensure correct interaction between power electronics, mechanics, cooling and safety concepts
• Lead system integration, technical decision-making and issue resolution

Thermal and airflow ownership

• Define and own cooling concepts, airflow paths, and thermal derating limits
• Perform and review thermal calculations, heat-load assessments and CFD simulations
• Ensure thermal performance under peak load, environmental extremes and long‑term operation

Mechanical integration and validation

• Define thermal‑related mechanical requirements for enclosures, cooling components and environmental protection
• Support system‑level testing, validation and compliance activities
• Lead thermal root cause analysis for field issues

Role boundaries

This role:

• Owns system integration and thermal behavior
• Owns thermal and airflow solutions end to end

This role does not:

• Define overall system architecture
• Own detailed electrical or software design

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years experience in system engineering and thermal design of complex hardware
• Experience in regulated, high‑power or industrial systems
• Ability to take clear technical ownership across disciplines
• Experience with EV charging, power electronics or energy systems is strongly preferred.
