About the role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HSE & Site Services Manager to support our team.
The main accountabilities of the role are the following:
1. HSE Strategy & Compliance
- Define and implement the company’s HSE strategy in alignment with business objectives
- Ensure full compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental legislation
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and risk assessment frameworks
- Lead internal and external audits, inspections and regulatory interactions
2. Safety Culture & Risk Management
- Drive a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization
- Monitor and analyze safety KPIs (e.g. LTIFR, incidents, near misses)
- Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
- Design and deliver HSE training and awareness programs
3. Environmental Management
- Oversee environmental compliance, including permits, waste management and emissions
- Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives
- Ensure accurate reporting and alignment with regulatory requirements
4. Site Services & Operational Support
- Ensure the effective operation, reliability, continuous improvement and support services
- Support operational continuity through robust site readiness and service coordination
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of site-related improvement initiatives and investments
5. Vendor & Contractor Oversight
- Manage external partners supporting site operations and HSE activities
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety standards and internal policies
- Monitor performance, service quality and contractual obligations
6. Budgeting & Resource Planning
- Develop and manage budgets related to HSE and site services
- Drive cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management
7. Business Continuity & Emergency Preparedness
- Establish and maintain business continuity and emergency response plans
- Lead crisis management and incident response when required
- Coordinate drills and preparedness exercises
8. Key KPIs
- Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR)
- Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR)
- Audit & compliance performance
- Site operational reliability / uptime
- Response time to incidents and operational issues
- Budget adherence
- Contractor safety performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Health & Safety, or a related field
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be considered an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an HSE role and/or Site Services management, ideally in an industrial or construction environment
- Very good knowledge of current Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, or equivalent will be considered a strong advantage
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures
- Experience in managing contractors, suppliers, and teams
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
- Good knowledge of services management
- Very good command of the English language
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage crises and make decisions under pressure
