We believe life’s about possibilities. And so is the future. That’s why we need you.
We’re working at the heart of Queensland's energy industry to maintain a safe, reliable and cost-effective transmission network.
As a Senior Safety Advisor, you’ll help us connect a more sustainable energy future for more than five million Queenslanders and 241,000 businesses. Your work with us is about every light turned on, every community connected, and every future made possible.
We believe every employee deserves the opportunity to enjoy a work-life balance that enhances their overall wellbeing and performance through inclusive and supportive benefits.
As a Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure projects in Gladstone, Biloela and Rockhampton regions. Working across construction, operations and maintenance activities, you’ll provide practical, solutions-focused safety support that contributes to strong project outcomes and a high-performing Health & Safety culture.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with frontline teams and leaders to embed effective safety practices into day-to-day operations. You’ll provide advice on legislative compliance and risk management, support the application of systems and controls, and help ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently in complex environments.
You’ll have a strong field presence, working alongside teams to proactively identify hazards, support risk mitigation, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. This role will also see you involved in audit and assurance activities, supporting incident responses and event learning, and contributing to the ongoing development of safety systems and processes.
This is an opportunity to build your experience on large-scale, high-impact projects while working within a supportive team environment that values collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that partners closely with the business to deliver safe, sustainable outcomes across our projects.
The team is known for its strong safety culture, practical approach, and commitment to supporting one another. You’ll work with experienced professionals while building your own capability, contributing to team success, and developing strong relationships across project and operational teams.
You’re a proactive and capable safety professional who enjoys working in dynamic environments and partnering closely with teams on the ground. You bring a practical approach to safety, with the ability to balance compliance requirements with operational needs.
You’ll have experience supporting construction, infrastructure, or operational environments, with a solid understanding of safety legislation, risk management, and safety systems. You’re confident providing advice, facilitating conversations, and supporting teams to identify and manage risk effectively.
Your ability to build relationships and influence others will be key, along with your strong communication skills and attention to detail. You’re comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team, managing competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
