Second Foundation is a global energy trading company with around 450 employees across locations in Prague HQ (CZ), Zug (CH), Berlin (DE), Charlotte (USA), and Tokyo (JP). We specialize in power market trading and in the integration and optimization of renewable energy and battery storage systems. In parallel, we are actively expanding our own asset base, with a primary focus on battery storage.
We are seeking a senior financing professional to take ownership of all bank-facing processes across the group - spanning corporate financing, asset-level project financing, and broader capital market activities. This is a global role at the intersection of finance, legal, M&A, and deal execution, requiring someone who can drive complex financing and transactional processes end-to-end while managing multiple internal and external stakeholders. Work location is Prague, but occasional international travel is expected.
What you would work on?
- Leading the full lifecycle of corporate and project financing transactions at group level.
- Serving as the primary contact for banking partners, building and maintaining strong institutional relationships.
- Coordinating due diligence, documentation, and information flows across internal teams and external advisors. Synthesizing inputs from multiple sources, applying own judgment, and delivering clear, well-structured outputs to banks.
- Driving deadlines and holding stakeholders accountable for quality and timeliness across legal, finance, and asset management teams.
- Playing a key role in M&A-related financing and transactional workstreams, including structuring and execution of deals.
What makes you a great candidate?
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience in financing, transaction management, or corporate finance within a diversified group, holding structure, or deal-oriented environment.
- A legal background with subsequent in-house experience in financing is a strong advantage, though not a requirement.
- Similarly, experience in energy infrastructure project and portfolio financing would be a plus
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive processes, manage timelines, and push for high-quality deliverables from multiple contributors.
- Excellent analytical capabilities - you can absorb large volumes of information, identify what matters, and communicate conclusions clearly and confidently to external partners.
- Experience working directly with banks and financial institutions, with an established understanding of lender expectations and credit processes. Also, we expect demonstrable, advanced experience in financial and valuation models for debt and equity transactions
- Fluent English; additional languages, like German, are a plus.
- High degree of independence, ownership mentality, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, international environment.
What we offer?
- Brand new office in the city center – Masaryčka.
- Competitive salary package with a performance-based bonus.
- Autonomy in how you manage your work.
- Diverse, international projects, with opportunities for on-site involvement.
- Exceptional benefits, including a training budget, on-site lunches, gym and more.
- 25 days of paid holiday.
