Position Overview
Join our team as a Destruction Center Specialist, where you’ll play a vital role in the secure handling and processing of confidential materials. In this hands-on position, you’ll operate commercial shredding and baling equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial shredding and baling equipment in full compliance with established safe work procedures, company policies, and COR safety standards
- Process and securely destroy confidential materials while adhering to all safety, security, and regulatory requirements
- Consistently meet established productivity targets while maintaining a strong focus on safe work practices
- Conduct pre-operational equipment checks and promptly report hazards, incidents, near misses, or equipment deficiencies in accordance with COR requirements
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Follow proper material handling techniques, including safe lifting practices and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace in alignment with housekeeping and safety standards
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to support a strong safety culture
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials and vehicles, ensuring compliance with transportation and handling procedures
- Demonstrate accountability for personal and team safety by adhering to all health and safety policies and promoting safe behaviors
- Perform additional duties and support operational needs as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial machine operation experience (production, warehouse, or manufacturing)
- Valid forklift certification required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Solid commitment to safety and compliance standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Asset: First Aid certification

- Competitive hourly wage: $21.77 – $23.75 per hour, based on experience and skills

Work Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Opportunities for paid overtime and occasional weekend work based on operational needs
