Description
We are looking for a hands-on, highly commercial Procurement Manager to support our Israeli operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will act as a standalone, individual contributor responsible for managing procurement across all business categories.
This role is not about building heavy, overly complex procurement frameworks; rather, it is about maintaining tight cost control, driving efficient buying practices, and being a true partner to the business. You will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possessing the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when necessary, manage risk effectively, and optimize our current processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Procurement: Manage the full procurement lifecycle across all business categories (IT, Marketing, Professional Services, Facilities, etc.) for the Israel region.
- Cost Control & Commercial Value: Drive efficient buying behavior across the business. Negotiate robust commercial terms, manage renewals, and ensure ongoing cost control without creating bottlenecks for the business.
- Contract Negotiation & Risk Management: Take a hands-on approach to contracts. Review and negotiate agreements directly alongside suppliers to support the Legal team, while proactively advising senior stakeholders on potential commercial and operational risks.
- Supplier Compliance & Onboarding: Own the vendor compliance process. Act as the central coordinator across Security, Legal, Privacy, and Finance to ensure all new and existing suppliers meet our strict internal standards.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to push back, challenge the status quo, and guide senior leadership toward cost-effective decisions.
- Process Optimization & Tech: Partner with the Finance IT team to review and optimize current procurement systems and processes. Educate and train stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption and compliance.
- Autonomous Delivery: Operate as a self-starter, taking full ownership of your workload and identifying areas where procurement can add practical value
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or a similar commercial role. Generalist category experience is highly preferred.
- Commercial Acumen & Contract Fluency: A sharp eye for a good deal, strong financial understanding, and comfort navigating legal terminology. You should be able to negotiate confidently, using Legal support judicially.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to coordinate complex compliance requirements across multiple departments (Security, Legal, Privacy, Finance).
- Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to push back, challenge the status quo, and guide senior leadership toward cost-effective and risk-aware decisions.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating procurement software and tech platforms. You don't need to be a system administrator, but you must be able to understand workflows, identify inefficiencies, and help optimize processes.
- Drive & Independence: A proactive, self-motivated approach. You are comfortable working independently as an individual contributor without needing a large team behind you.
- Qualifications: MCIPS qualification (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
