Role Overview:
The Accounting Intern provides support to the finance team by assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounts management, and payroll support. This role offers hands-on experience in core accounting processes, helping ensure accurate financial records while gaining exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, and month-end closing activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping and data entry in the accounting system.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Help manage accounts payable and receivable records.
- Participate in payroll processing and reconciliation tasks.
- Assist with monthly and yearly financial closing processes.
- Support the team in financial analysis and budgeting activities.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team when required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
