An exciting opportunity is available for an Experience and Engagement Coordinator to join the People and Culture Department at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the position
The Experience and Engagement Coordinator supports experience and engagement across the full lifecycle at WEHI, contributing to a positive, safe and values-driven culture. Reporting to the Manager, People Experience and Engagement, the role coordinates key programs and processes that strengthen the employee and student experience and contributes to the delivery of health, wellbeing and engagement initiatives, including WEHI Voice and associated action planning. The role also works with People Partners and the broader P&C team to support onboarding, offboarding and redeployment activities.
The Experience and Engagement Coordinator is also responsible for monitoring participation and evaluating the impact of engagement initiatives including tracking involvement, collating feedback and data insights, and supporting reporting that informs decision-making and continuous improvement. Through maintaining effective systems and communications, the role helps ensure engagement and lifecycle initiatives are measurable, responsive and aligned with organisational priorities.
Selection Criteria
Personal Qualities:
Self-motivated individual with proven ability to work independently, and on multiple initiatives concurrently
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; proven aptitude for communicating effectively with a variety of audiences and establishing productive working relationships
Strong organisational skills and able to balance workload and conflicting priorities in a complex environment
Consistent demonstration of initiative; able to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Proven attention to detail and strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Knowledge and Skills:
Tertiary qualifications in human resources or related discipline preferred
Experience with planning, coordinating and delivering programs and events.
Strong computer literacy, including experience using HR systems and tools proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
Ability to generate, record and accurately present data.
Experience in staff and student experience, engagement and support preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work across departments and divisions to deliver shared outcomes.
Highly organised and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Terms of appointment
This is an ongoing position in a full time capacity. Salary is Professional Services Employee Level 5 ($82,018 - $94,209). Very attractive salary packaging options are available for general living expenses, meal entertainment, novated leasing and more. 12% superannuation payable, plus up to a further 5% after the first 6 months of service via our matching superannuation scheme.
