The Renovation Specialist is responsible for completing restoration and repair of properties as assigned in a cost-effective, timely manner, contributing to resident satisfaction and retention. They ensure the attractive appearance and physical integrity of all buildings and grounds. We believe everyone at Goldmark is a leader! The Renovation Specialist will take pride in serving others and delivering a caring and professional experience for our residents, our client-owners, and our fellow team members. Starting Pay $23.00 per hour (more depending on experience) Job Duties: • Presents and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor throughout daily interactions with owners, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and all Goldmark personnel. • Builds and maintains effective relationships with owners, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers and other Goldmark team members. • Perform assigned work at properties that drives resident satisfaction and retention through superior customer service initiatives, and proactive problem resolution. • Perform assigned projects of properties in a cost-effective, timely manner to achieve individual budgeted project goals. • Ensure quality and timely completion of construction and repair projects. • May provide input on continued property improvements for budget consideration. • Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris, and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs. • Always utilize required safety equipment. • Work closely with Project Manager and their team to ensure projects are done accurately, safely and in a timely manner. • Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills required for the position. • Performing tasks include demolition, insulation, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drywall tape, texture, paint, and repair, small concrete replacement, light framing, removal and construction of walls, finish carpentry, removal and replacement of cabinetry, doors, millwork, countertops, and similar work. • Follow through on work orders as directed. • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements. • Takes measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed. Experience and Education: • High School or equivalent education with one or more years’ related experience and/or training preferred. • Previous remodeling experience preferred. • Drywall finishing preferred. • Cabinetry experience preferred. • General plumbing experience preferred. • Electrical experience in switch and outlet replacement, light fixtures preferred. • Demonstrated proficiency of construction tools and equipment, including but not limited to saws, drill, levels, hand tools, etc. • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people. • Possesses ability to receive and implement direction. • A self-starter, highly motivated and goal-oriented individual who is a team player. • Ability to operate common office equipment, basic computer skills, and mobile devices. • Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and meet company insurability requirements. • Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
