WTG T&I Manager (all genders)
Your future tasks:
- You will create, evaluate and accompany concepts for the transport and installation (T&I) of the Turbines of our offshore wind farms.
- In doing so, you will review the necessary equipment (e.g. vessels, cranes, etc.) as well as the base port(s) for the installation.
- Participate in the design phase e.g. by providing input on best practice regarding installation design to Foundation, Cable and Turbine Design Manager
- In doing so, you will be a competent and open-minded contact person for the individual project participants at all times and provide them with technical support.
Tasks
- Analyze, recommend and optimize offshore installation and logistics concepts
- Provide input to the WTG installation vessel deck layout during contract negotiations
- Manage interface to the Geo Package. Ensure that the right surveys and analysis are specified and requested
- In cooperation with contract manager, charter installation vessels incl. support vessels and barges if needed
- Prepare ITT documents and Employer's Requirements - Technical Requirements
- Manage and coordinate offshore installation activities including client representatives
- Act as Skyborn’s and project's representative vis-à-vis respective contractor(s)
- Manage the Marine Warranty Surveyor hired by Skyborn or the project for the specific project and scope.
- Ensure contractor's delivery of and own review of Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Carry out HAZID/HAZOP for installation design and offshore installation operations
- Analyze and optimize installation procedures prior to and during installation
- Coordinate and attend inspections of vessels provided to the projects
- Proactively ensure that offshore installation works are carried out based on balanced contracts and that they are optimized in relation to time, costs and QHSE
- Inform the Package Manager of all significant technical issues, in particular risks, and develop contingency plans
- Analyze, recommend and optimize mobilization/demobilization of the installation vessel
- Implement lessons learnt
- In cooperation with contract manager and Package Manager, manage the cable installation contract part, variation orders and claims. Maintain relations to contractors/suppliers
- Participate in project interface management
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the installation of Turbines is on time and that quality and economy are within the scope
- Comply with Skyborns’s guidelines and current standards, as well as local requirements
- Participate in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation
- Ensure that the best technical practices are implemented
- Ensure hand-over of agreed documentation to O&M
- Comply with and enforce the Company HSE requirements
Your profile:
- You have a successfully completed engineering degree preferably in the fields of marine technology, civil engineering or maritime logistics.
- You have sound professional experience in the field of logistics and installation of large components within the scope of complex technical projects, ideally in the field of offshore wind.
- You have very good MS Office and English skills, both written and spoken.
- You enjoy and are interested in working in an international team, have strong communication skills and team orientation, and bring willingness to travel and intercultural competence.
- You identify yourself to a high degree with renewable energies and maintain an overview even ata fast pace of work.
