Support and evolve our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation, cloud migrations, and operational support of existing AWS deployments.
In this role, you will work closely with engineering, data, and security teams to design, automate, secure, and operate scalable cloud environments. You will play a key role in improving reliability, security posture, and delivery speed across our AWS‑based platforms, including data workloads running on Databricks.
JOB ROLE SUMMARY
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting, automating, and evolving cloud infrastructure with a primary focus on AWS. This role plays a key part in enabling cloud migrations, maintaining and improving existing deployments, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable operations. The engineer works closely with application, data, and security teams to automate infrastructure using Terraform, support data platforms such as Databricks, and embed AWS security best practices into day‑to‑day operations. The role emphasizes operational excellence, infrastructure automation, and continuous improvement across cloud environments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and established infrastructure‑as‑code standards
- Support cloud migrations by executing defined tasks, assisting with deployments, and supporting post‑migration stabilization
- Operate and support existing AWS deployments, contributing to reliability, performance, and day‑to‑day operational stability
- Develop and enhance automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks under existing patterns and guidance
- Support Databricks environments and associated data workloads running in AWS
- Apply and follow AWS security best practices, including IAM, networking, encryption, and monitoring, in collaboration with security and platform teams
- Work effectively as an independent contributor while collaborating closely with application, data, and platform engineers
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across development, staging, and production environments
- Perform peer code reviews for Terraform, automation, and related changes, providing constructive and standards‑based feedback
- Develop a holistic understanding of the platform, including dependencies across infrastructure, applications, and data workloads
- Progressively build subject‑matter expertise (SME) in assigned cloud, automation, or platform areas
- Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to support consistent and repeatable operations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role
