Description
The Electrical Manager oversees daily operations of residential electrical service work, ensuring high-quality service delivery, team productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for managing technicians, coordinating service calls, maintaining safety standards, and driving operational efficiency and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of residential service electricians and apprentices
- Schedule and dispatch service calls to ensure timely and efficient job completion
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support in the field and remotely
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and training for team members
- Monitor job progress, quality of work, and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory, tools, and materials needed for service operations
- Assist in estimating, pricing, and approving residential electrical work
- Handle customer escalations and resolve service issues professionally
- Track key performance metrics (revenue, efficiency, callbacks, etc.)
- Collaborate with office staff to improve scheduling, billing, and workflow processes
Requirements
Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred or required based on location)
- 5+ years of residential electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, troubleshooting, and code compliance
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Experience with service software (e.g., ServiceTitan or similar) is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
