

Business Development Executive (SDR)
Location: Sydney, Newtown (Office-Based)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 base + uncapped commission
Realistic OTE Year 1: $100,000 – $120,000

We’re hiring a Business Development Executive to drive pipeline growth and generate high-quality opportunities for our Australian events portfolio.
This is a lead generation and pipeline-building role, focused on identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential exhibitors and sponsors before converting them into commercial opportunities.
You’ll play a critical role in fuelling event revenue by opening conversations with high-growth businesses and senior decision-makers.
Proactively researching and identifying high-growth Australian businesses and emerging brands
Building and managing a strong outbound pipeline through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and market research
Engaging founders, CEOs, and senior stakeholders to understand their growth objectives
Qualifying leads and uncovering commercial opportunities for exhibition and sponsorship solutions
Booking and conducting high-quality discovery calls and initial pitches
Nurturing early-stage prospects and progressing them through the sales funnel
Collaborating with senior sales leadership to convert qualified opportunities into revenue
Maintaining accurate pipeline data and consistently hitting activity and opportunity targets
$55,000 - $70,000 base salary
Uncapped commission (paid on qualified opportunities and closed revenue)
Realistic Year 1 OTE: $100,000 – $120,000
