Role Overview
Vertiv is seeking a Manager, Materials & Production Planning for the EMEA business across all LOBs. This role reports to the Director, EMEA Materials Management & Production Planning and is pivotal in driving operational excellence across SIOP, master scheduling, NPDI, and overall materials management strategy. You will champion process improvements, system enhancements, and governance initiatives to ensure world-class delivery performance and inventory control. As a strategic leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, propose and implement processes from Order to Delivery. You will implement system improvements within scope and develop KPIs that drive measurable results. Your expertise will help shape Vertiv’s materials planning framework and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve global operation’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Master Scheduling, NPDI, SIOP integration and capacity planning to ensure stable, achievable plans that meet customer demand while optimizing capacity, inventory, and cost.
- Acts as a cross‑functional orchestrator—representing planning in strategic decision processes—while driving scenario planning, pre-sales feasibility assessments, and capacity decision support across the region.
- Strengthen Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and support enhancing SIOP process maturity
- Facilitate business unit supply and inventory planning, ensuring alignment between plants, procurement, and lines of business.
- Support EMEA deployment of the new Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) system
- Own and manage production lead times to ensure accurate planning and timely delivery. Continuously review and optimize lead times in coordination with production, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Identify and implement improvements in scheduling & NPDI processes, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
- Establish system standards, deliver training, and share best practices across platforms.
- Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives and strategic projects to enhance efficiency, standardization, and overall materials management performance
- Partner with IT to identify, prioritize, and implement system and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in materials management, production planning or supply chain,
- 3+ years in managerial roles, experience in plant or manufacturing environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience with APS systems, SIOP, NPDI and capacity planning processes
- Strong analytical and Excel expertise, APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
- Strong background in Lean Six Sigma (minimum Green Belt certified)
- Full professional proficiency in English; Italian or Slovak beneficial
