Play a key role in ensuring product quality as a Final Quality Inspector. In this role, you’ll serve as the final checkpoint on the production floor, ensuring every control panel meets engineering design, quality standards, and customer expectations before shipment. This position is based on-site at our Alpharetta, GA facility, supporting production operations on the shop floor, and is ideal for an experienced professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands control panel builds at a deep level, and holds high standards. You’ll act as the customer’s last line of defense, performing a thorough final review and working closely with production, testing, and engineering to ensure every panel leaves our facility complete, compliant, and built to the highest standard.

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, typical shop hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with flexibility based on production needs
- Location & Structure: Based in Alpharetta, GA, this role is primarily on-site, working on the production floor, with minimal travel and reporting to the Operations Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Final Quality Inspector, you will:
- Perform final inspections of completed control panels to verify accuracy against electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Ensure all components, wiring, and assemblies match design requirements with zero errors, omissions, or unauthorized substitutions
- Cross-reference physical builds with CAD drawings to confirm proper layout, spacing, and mechanical alignment
- Conduct detailed visual inspections to ensure high-quality craftsmanship, including wire routing, labeling, heat shrink application, and overall fit and finish
- Inspect and verify proper installation and crimping of compression lugs to ensure secure connections and compliance with quality standards
- Inspect and verify assembly of busbar-based builds, ensuring alignment with design specifications and overall build quality
- Verify panels are clean, organized, and free of debris prior to release
- Audit traveler documents, inspection checklists, and test reports to ensure all required steps have been completed and properly documented
- Confirm prior testing and inspection activities (continuity checks, torque verification, power-up testing) are complete and signed off
- Identify nonconformances and communicate findings clearly and constructively, ensuring issues are corrected before release
- Verify that any required rework has been completed and documented appropriately
- Prepare panels for UL Manufacturer’s Technical Representative (MTR) review, ensuring completeness so inspection can focus on UL compliance
- Serve as final approval for shipment by signing the Certificate of Conformance (CoC), or return panels for correction if they do not meet standards
- Partner with production and engineering teams to help identify recurring issues and support improvements in build quality and consistency
Experience and Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required (technical training or certifications strongly preferred)
- 5–8+ years of experience in control panel wiring, assembly, testing, or quality inspection
- Strong understanding of industrial control panels, including wiring standards, layout, and best practices
- Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and BOMs
- Ability to visualize and verify physical builds from 2D drawings
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship
- Ability to identify issues and communicate them clearly and constructively
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a control panel shop, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Familiarity with UL 508A standards and general compliance concepts
- Experience reviewing inspection documentation and test reports
- Understanding of quality control processes and nonconformance handling
