Special Census - Seasonal Worker 2026

We are seeking individuals who are committed to ensuring every voice is heard and every person is counted. As a Special Census seasonal worker, you will have the opportunity to:

• Conduct door-to-door outreach in assigned neighborhoods to distribute census materials and engage with residents.
• Engage with residents and distribute census materials at local businesses and community meetings.
• Address concerns or misconceptions about the census and provide accurate information to the public.
• Help organize and attend community events, workshops, and information sessions to educate the public about the census.
• Foster positive relationships with the community to encourage participation.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including public speaking.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to upholding confidentiality and privacy standards.
• Proficiency in Spanish language is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of walking outside for extended periods of time.

The prospective applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The role requires a valid driver’s license to participate in field work.

Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.

This is a seasonal position. The hourly wage is $20.05/hr - $23.92hr depending on qualifications and experience. The duration of the position is early May 2026 through mid September 2026.
