Te tūranga – The role
The Senior Systems Engineer maintains and supports RBNZ’s corporate IT services and solutions, ensuring they are stable, available and resilient.
You’ll be responsible for:
Proactively managing and maintaining RBNZ’s corporate IT services and solutions.
Working with the Manager End User Services to develop strategies, roadmaps and implementation plans
Resolving issues with corporate IT services and solutions from a prioritised backlog.
Working closely with the Service Desk function to efficiently address requests from colleagues across the Bank, respond to incidents and ensure our support processes are up to date.
Contributing to the design and implementation of new services or solutions.

Ō pūkenga – About you
We’re looking for a collaborative worker, who can work to deadlines effectively. To be successful in this role you will have:
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration portals and implementation of the
ecosystem and associated tools.
Knowledge of “on premise” Microsoft systems, including active directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft desktop applications etc.
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Teams, integrated meeting room technology and
collaboration ecosystems, including Teams Telephony.
Experience with packaging applications, automated application deployment and remote
management of a Windows-based notebook fleet.
A detailed knowledge of current Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, including
best-practice management and maintenance practices.
Advanced skills in latest versions of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Windows Server, Entra ID and Active Directory, Intune, Purview, Group Policy and PowerShell.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Agents and Power Platform administration an advantage.
