apply nowWe are looking for a Positioning & Survey Systems Engineer to join our Positioning & Construction Support department.
In this role, you will combine office-based system preparation and configuration with on-site interventions on international projects in the offshore industry.
You are responsible for the setup, configuration, and support of positioning and survey systems used on dredging vessels, offshore oil platforms, and floating wind installations.
Your key Responsibilities are:
HQ / In-house
Configure and prepare positioning and survey systems
Integrate hardware and software (GNSS, sensors, cabling, interfaces)
Test and calibrate measurement systems
Support technical project preparation in collaboration with project teams
Maintain and manage equipment and systems
Troubleshoot and optimize system configurations
Field / On-site
Install and commission measurement systems on:
Vessels
Offshore oil & gas platforms
Floating wind turbines
Perform maintenance and repairs on positioning systems
Execute calibrations and system validations
Provide on-site technical support during operations
Report on performed work and technical findings
Technical background or strong affinity with IT, electronics, or electromechanics
Basic knowledge of electricity/electronics (sensors, cabling)
Interest in survey and positioning technologies, with opportunities for internal training
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Hands-on and practical approach
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexible and willing to travel internationally on a regular basis
Good communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken
Valid driver’s license (Category B)
