Aurora ARC WIND, part of Aurora Energy Services (AES), a global multidisciplinary energy services company, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor for the Golden Plains 2 Wind Farm, located outside Ballarat, VIC. This is an onsite project‑based role, and applicants must be comfortable working in a construction environment on a wind farm project.
As an HSE Advisor, you will support safe and compliant delivery of our wind energy construction activities, working closely with project teams to uphold the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental regulations through inspections, audits, and risk assessments. • Monitor and maintain environmental compliance across construction activities. • Lead incident investigations and prepare corrective action recommendations (ICAM/Taproot preferred). • Coordinate and deliver safety training and toolbox sessions. • Develop and maintain emergency response plans. • Manage HSE documentation, reporting, and regulatory submissions. • Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks. • Promote a strong onsite safety culture through engagement and coaching. • Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding permits, compliance, and site requirements. • Oversee safety equipment standards, maintenance, and availability.
Qualifications & Experience • Diploma of WHS or Cert IV WHS with 3+ years’ HSE experience. • Background in construction or renewable energy highly desirable. • ICAM/Taproot experience preferred. • TAE qualification desirable. • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE legislation. • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an onsite project team. • Must be comfortable working in a remote, active construction site environment.
