Role Summary:
As the Inventory Data Analyst at
VinFast, you will build robust, automated inventory -relevant data pipelines
and dashboards. You also provide the analytical horsepower needed to simulate
the impacts of frequent Production Plan and BOM changes, enabling the Inventory
Optimization team to proactively manage overseas supplier risks and complex MRP
parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Dashboard Architecture & Data
Visualization
-
Designing
and deploying a unified, high-adoption "Inventory Control Tower"
dashboard.
2.
Simulation & Predictive Modeling
-
Build
quantitative models to simulate the impact of high-frequency production
schedule shifts, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Supply Chain
Parameters on current inventory levels.
-
Utilize
advanced analytics to project safety stock requirements against long
frozen horizons and overseas transit times.
3.
Root Cause & Volatility Analysis
-
Partner
with the optimization team to replace reactive mechanism with deep-dive,
data-backed root cause analyses.
-
Analyze
supplier delivery performance and lead-time deviations to feed accurate
data back into MRP parameter configurations.
4.
Data Pipeline & Automation
-
Extract,
clean, and structure large datasets from the ERP system (e.g., SAP) and
multiple supply chain nodes.
-
Automate
weekly and monthly inventory performance reporting to support departmental
OGSM tracking.

strong preference for candidates who have applied these skills within
supply chain, logistics, FMCG, or automotive manufacturing.
-
Technical
Skills:
-
Programming
& Scripting:
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and
simulation. Experience prototyping in collaborative environments and
using libraries such as Pandas or OR-Tools for complex routing and
optimization problems is highly desirable.
-
Database
& BI:
Advanced SQL skills for complex data extraction. Deep
expertise in BI platforms (Power BI preferred) to build intuitive,
user-centric dashboards.
-
ERP
Systems:
Experience querying and structuring data from major ERP
systems (SAP MM/PP experience is a strong plus).
-
Domain
Knowledge:
A solid understanding of manufacturing data structures,
including Bill of Materials (BOM), MRP parameters.
-
Soft
Skills:
Detail-oriented with the ability to translate complex data
into actionable, easy-to-understand insights for non-technical
stakeholders
