About the role
As our Young Parents Facilitator, you will lead a dynamic and responsive program that supports young people aged 15–25 who are pregnant or parenting and experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. Grounded in an advantaged-thinking approach, this role focuses on recognising strengths, building capability, and creating pathways for young parents and their children to thrive.
You will work directly with young parents to build trust, confidence, and connection, providing practical outreach, facilitating life skill development, and supporting access to services that can often feel out of reach. This includes strengthening engagement with health, education, and community supports, while also creating opportunities for social connection and belonging.
Operating as a sole facilitator within the program, you will take ownership of both delivery and development, designing flexible, innovative responses that meet young people where they are at.
You will actively build and maintain strong partnerships across housing, health, education, and community sectors, positioning the program as a key support within the broader service system.
This part-time (0.6EFT) ongoing role is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomous work, values deep relational practice, and is motivated by creating meaningful, long-term change. You will play a critical role in advocating for young parents, strengthening their pathways to independence, and contributing to a service system that is more accessible, inclusive, and responsive.
