We are in search of a highly motivated, self-driven, Plant Superintendent to join our successful team.
Job Summary:
Direct production with respect to every aspect of scheduling, production and shipping. Assure a safe work environment while delivering a quality finished product to our customers on time.
Essential Job Functions:
Monitor daily production and make required changes to our schedule to support shipping pull system for on time delivery.
Ensure our employees are provided a safe work environment and practice safe work behavior.
Communicate with all three shifts daily to discuss any production, employee or quality concerns.
Develop strategic plans for production to support company objectives.
Identify and develop improvement plans for underperforming machines or employees.
Daily meetings with engineering and maintenance to help facilitate predictive and preventive maintenance to reduce or eliminate unscheduled downtime.
Provide support for sales and structure with design and implementation of new items.
Perform all management and leadership responsibilities and functions including hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, addressing and resolving complaints, production planning, employee assessments, succession planning, and equipment assessments.

The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required and assigned from time to time.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 8 years of experience working in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
A minimum of 5 years of experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial or lead experience within the paper industry
Availability to work shift work and overtime as needed
Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)
Must possess problem solving/root cause analysis skills; leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate teams to exceed expectation; communication, planning and organization skills; sense of urgency and accountability; customer focus; ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environment
Ability to make independent, effective decisions.
Ability to effectively conduct meetings and training sessions.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to multi-task and handle a number of issues at one time.
Computer literate with Microsoft Suite and other office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading an employee training/development program in an industrial manufacturing environment
Prefer minimum 5 years of corrugated knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, engineering, or related field
Experience working in Corrugated Packaging, Containerboard, Folding Carton, or Paper industries
Experience working with CTI application
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
Corrugator, Flexo’s, Flat Bed Die Cutters, Rotary Die Cutters, Joiners, Printing
Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Safety:
Employees are expected to follow all facility safety guidelines that include adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety as outlined during their training.
Working Conditions:
Non climate controlled facility with exposure to a wide range of temperatures and humidity.
Manufacturing environment working around machinery, moving equipment, and noise levels requiring mandatory hearing protection.
Substantial part of the workday involves standing or walking.
